Computer Overheating?

Here is the inside of a computer I’m working on. Symptom: It doesn’t power on.

Dirty Motherboard

Huge dirt chunks. They block airflow and cause the heat to circulate inside the machine. When computer parts run hot, they fail.

Here is a shot of the power supply unit (PSU):

Dirty PSU

The dirt is about 2mm thick covering the exhaust. Might as well just put two layers of duct tape to trap the heat in.

Please try to keep dust and dirt out of your computer. Once a year, open it up and shoot the insides with canned air to get the dirt out. If that’s not for you, just contact me and I can clean it out for you.
